The wider-cut shirt: it has RETURNED!

Ya, I'm pretty happy about this one. For the past year or two, my shirt size has been usually a M or L. I'm actually more of a Small, but everything was cut so that it would be skin tight! Ugg.

But this Fall, tops are returning to a more "late 90's-2000's" cut: a bit flowy-er, so to speak... sort of skimming the body rather than clinging to it. It's more flattering, and definitely more modest!

There's also shirts that are cut A-line (like this one on Selena Gomez), and I really like that style too. The problem is, they're very unflattering on moi. :(
(A note on this pic: I was at a festival a month ago, and I saw THREE people wearing this exact shirt! I guess it's a fave. View Selena's collection here.)

Of course, while tops seem to be cut more modest lately, remember we're returning to the late 90's-early 2000's. The belly shirt is also, supposedly, coming back "in". ("NOOOOoooo!!!!!") Granted, all you have to do is wear a long tank top underneath .... but I personally HATE this trend. Ick!

So anyways.... have a nice day :)

What I'm wearing:

and, last but not least, the earrings I won from AK's giveaway! They're very versatile, and I'm enjoying them!

I LOVE Mod Cloth's (somewhat) new collection!

I love this collection of Mod Cloth's. It's called "Where the Time Goes", and happens to be one of my favorite collections of theirs. (Unfortunately, it's no longer the newest, so I'm afraid this post is a bit late! :( )

It's definitely my style. I love the color palette!

My absolute favorite piece is this blouse:

Call it Char-truce shirt ; $62.99

hello......??? Anyone there?

I'm very confused.

Judging from the amount of comments, you all like my costume posts more than any other subject.

But the other blog is my costume blog, and only 4 people are following it out of 37! (NOTE: a special "THANK YOU!!!" to Marian, Hanne-col, Jane, and Elinor. :)

hmmm..... maybe 33 of you are on vacation.....

*music* "The road goes ever on..."

 BIG news.

Not sure how to say it.

Basically, I've come to a decision.

I'm switching blogs. Sort of.

You see, a blog with topics as diverse as mine (cooking/historical costumes/movie costumes/fashion/Christian faith/occasional gardening posts) can only appeal to people with alllll of those interests.

Suppose you didn't like modern fashion and your thing was costuming. You would have to put up with occasional fashoin-y posts.

Suppose you didn't like costuming but loved modest fashion. The costuming posts would turn you off.

Besides that, I've been wanting to start an Etsy shop. Blogging is good advertising for your shop (as many of you know). However, since I don't have a serger (to make good quality costumes) I would be selling modern accessories. This would be fine if I just got another blog, but I really, really, really, like the name "Iradessa" for a shop, and it only makes sense that the blog that is relevant to the shop should have the name.

So, in short, I ported my costuming/sewing posts over to my new blog: (http://iradessadressdiary.blogspot.com/) and I'm turning "Iradessa" into a modest fashion blog.

The only hitch: if you don't like modern fashion so much and you like my costume-y posts, un-follow this blog and go follow my new one. I won't be offended. :)

I really believe that God is telling me to do this. Can't wait to see what comes of it!
